  • Library faculty created AI guide for students
  • Many departments are collaborating in an academic senate ad hoc on AI policy, including participants from English, Communications, Geology, Philosophy, Computer Science, Art, Chemistry, and Information Systems
  • Last year a senate ad hoc committee was created and folks joined based on interest.
  • The ad hoc committee developed the language concerning cheating and plagiarism which is currently in our college catalog; it is currently thinking of revising that language (removing it from the plagiarism section) and expanding the scope of the policy to cover acceptable uses for both faculty and students.
  • The committee is also planning to run a faculty survey to gain insight on how AI is used and perceived around campus. Future projects may involve AI workshops, though several Clovis faculty run workshops at other campuses in our district
  • DSPS faculty and staff also working with AI tools to increase accessibility
